Role Overview
We are seeking a Demand Generation Specialist to own and optimize our HubSpot platform while driving our demand generation efforts. This role will begin with cleaning up and properly configuring our HubSpot Sales Hub to support our sales team, then transition into executing demand generation campaigns through Marketing Hub. You'll work collaboratively with our entire marketing department, serving as the tactical executor who brings campaigns to life within HubSpot.
 
HubSpot Sales Hub Responsibilities
Primary focus during initial months
Lead Management & Routing
  • Set up automated lead ownership and routing to ensure leads are assigned to correct sales representatives
  • Configure lead scoring models to ensure sales team receives highest quality leads
  • Establish proper lead handoff processes between marketing and sales
CRM Optimization
  • Audit and clean existing contact and company records
  • Set up and manage custom properties for effective segmentation and personalization
  • Ensure CRM data structure supports sales team workflows and reporting needs
  • Create and maintain standardized data entry processes
Sales Process Support
  • Collaborate with sales team to build and optimize automated sales sequences for inbound leads
  • Configure deal stages and pipeline management for accurate forecasting
  • Set up sales reporting dashboards to track team performance and pipeline health
 
HubSpot Marketing Hub Responsibilities
Increasing focus as Sales Hub is optimized
Campaign Execution & Management
  • Execute multi-channel campaigns developed in collaboration with the marketing manager
  • Set up campaigns within HubSpot's campaign tool, linking all assets for comprehensive tracking
  • Build and optimize conversion-focused landing pages and forms
  • Configure automated email sequences and lead nurturing workflows
Content Integration & Deployment
  • Receive and deploy content assets from social media manager, video marketing specialist, and SEO consultant
  • Work with marketing manager to develop targeted campaigns for specific ICPs
  • Design and build marketing emails, incorporating A/B testing for optimization
  • Coordinate cross-channel campaign deployment (email, social, paid ads)
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
  • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics across all channels
  • Build custom dashboards and reports for campaign performance, lead flow, and pipeline contribution
  • Monitor key performance indicators (MQLs, SQLs, conversion rates, ROI)
  • Make data-driven adjustments to improve campaign effectiveness
Marketing Automation
  • Create behavioral-triggered workflows based on prospect actions and lead scores
  • Set up and manage drip campaigns for different buyer personas and journey stages
  • Configure marketing automation to support sales team with qualified lead nurturing
 
HubSpot Administration & Data Management
Ongoing responsibility throughout role
Platform Cleanup & Organization
  • Audit and clean up existing HubSpot account (de-duplicate contacts, archive unused assets)
  • Implement standardized naming conventions for all assets (workflows, lists, forms, campaigns)
  • Create organized folder structures for easy asset management
  • Remove outdated or redundant campaigns, forms, and workflows
Database Hygiene & Compliance
  • Proactively manage marketing database for data accuracy and proper segmentation
  • Develop and implement list hygiene strategies (remove unengaged contacts, de-duplicate records, enrich data)
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
  • Monitor and maintain data quality standards across all HubSpot hubs
System Optimization & Integration
  • Optimize HubSpot settings and configurations for maximum efficiency
  • Manage integrations with external tools (Google Ads, YouTube Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
  • Set up and maintain proper tracking and attribution across all touchpoints
  • Ensure seamless data flow between Sales Hub, Marketing Hub, and other connected systems
 
Collaboration & Support Structure
Marketing Department Partnership
  • Marketing Manager: Collaborate on campaign strategy development and ICP targeting
  • Marketing Coordinator: Integrate email and social content into multi-channel campaigns
  • Video Marketing Specialist: Deploy video assets within email campaigns, ads, and landing pages
  • SEO Consultant: Coordinate content deployment and lead capture optimization
 
Primary Responsibility: Serve as the tactical executor who transforms marketing strategies and content into trackable, optimized campaigns within HubSpot, ensuring seamless operation and continuous performance improvement.
 
Success Metrics
  • HubSpot platform organization and data quality improvements
  • Sales team satisfaction with lead quality and CRM functionality
  • Campaign performance improvements (conversion rates, lead quality, ROI)
  • Marketing and sales alignment and handoff efficiency

Who We’re Looking For:

  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience with HubSpot, in an administrative, operations, or power-user capacity.
  • A strong desire to specialize in Demand Generation and grow your career within CRM operations.
  • Experience with building workflows, campaigns, setting up reporting, and managing sales processes within HubSpot.
  • A "startup mentality" – you're proactive, adaptable, enjoy problem-solving, and are excited to take ownership in an evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and provide effective training.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with a knack for identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Self-motivated and able to learn quickly on the job.
  • Ability to work onsite at our office in Chagrin Falls, OH.
